Rosewood Hotels & Resorts is to open its third Rosewood property in Mexico in January 2011. The Rosewood San Miguel De Allende is located about an hour from Leon International Airport, 45 minutes from Queretaro and about three and a half hours from Mexico City.

The town of San Miguel De Allende is nestled in the mountains to the north of Mexico City and is one of central Mexico’s oldest towns, steeped in Mexican history. 

Located in the heart of the historic colonial town of San Miguel de Allende, the hotel will offer guests a 4,000 sq ft Sense Spa with five treatment rooms, heat and steam rooms, indoor and outdoor relaxation areas, three pools, fitness centre and a yoga and pilates studio.

The hotel will have 67 spacious guestrooms and all of the suites will have wood beamed ceilings, fireplaces and the finest Mexican furnishings and will have magnificent views over El Centro, the resorts lush gardens and pool area or the wonderful skyline. Rooms and suites on the ground floor will have a private terrace with those on the first and second floor having private balconies with views of San Miguel city and the surrounding countryside.

Rosewood San Miguel de Allende’s signature restaurant, 1826, will offer the very best in innovative Mexican cuisine, allowing guests to enjoy both indoor and outdoor dining areas. Other dining options at the resort will include Luna, a casual, rooftop tapas restaurant, The Bar offering cocktails and snacks, Agua the poolside restaurant and bar and La Cava, a unique private dining venue in the resort’s wine ‘cava.’
